One of the most important facts you need to know before proceeding, is what type of social security benefit are you currently receiving: social security disability income (SSDI), supplemental security income (SSI) or a combination of both. Annually you should receive a letter from the Social Security Administration telling you about your benefits and which type you receive. Additionally, this information is usually noted on your bank statement if your monthly benefits are automatically deposited into your checking account. Otherwise, it should be listed on your monthly check.
The first three websites provide some good general information and the other websites are grouped by type of benefit you receive (SSDI, SSI or a combination) and specific incentive.
