SE (Pre-Service) Certification Training Sessions - May 18, 19, 21, and 22, 2009

Supported Employment Pre-Service Course

    Location:
      The Area 13 Program office in the training room
    Instructor:
      Cindy Drew
    Class Schedule:
      Monday May 18 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
      Tuesday May 19 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
      * There is no Class Wednesday
      Thursday May 21 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
      (a break for lunch is included, this is the only full day)
      Friday May 22 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Course Description:

This four day course covers all aspects of supported employment using the Dale DiLeo curriculum "Supported Employment and Natural Supports." The class is designed for those who are interested in providing Supported Employment Services or those interested in learning more about supported employment ( such as waiver support coordinators). The class includes a wide range of topics including supported employment's core values, assessment and career planning, marketing and job development, on the job training and supports, on going supports and special issues. Also included will be instruction in how going to work affects an individual's Social Security benefits.
