Florida Benefits Information Resources Network (F-BIRN) Training
APD is announcing the third 10-day training session on The Changing Face of Benefits: Knowledge for Successful Employment! presented by Sharon Brent of the National Disability Institute. This training is open to management staff of state and federal agencies that focus on the employment of persons with disabilities.
To be a part of the F-BIRN, you have to attend all 10 days, complete all homework assignments and score a passing grade on all tests.
2008 F-BIRN Training Dates
- April 15, 16, 17
- May 13, 14, 15
- June 9, 10, 11, and 12
To participate in all 10 days please send an email to Melinda_Coulter@apd.state.fl.us and include your position title, agency name, mailing address, and telephone number.
All sessions will be held at the Safety Harbor Resort in Safety Harbor located on the west bank of Tampa Bay (just outside Clearwater and Tampa). The sleeping rooms (if reserved with the APD block rate) are only $98.00 per night.
There is no charge for the training, but each participant has to pay for his own travel, food and lodging.
